| Sara Beugen and Stephen Mabry met in Los Angeles while working on a photo shoot in 2001 and have been photographing together ever since. Sara grew up in downtown Chicago and received a BFA from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. Stephen grew up in Long Beach, California, and began his career in the fashion industry which enabled him to live and work in Milan, Paris, London, North Africa, Australia and New York City. Sara and Stephen enjoy long road trips, cooking beautiful food, desert communities, and the unique individualism found in photographing pre-teen kids. Sara and Stephen welcomed their first child into the world on April 23, 2009: Eli William Newton. |
